Nose: It starts out with a mix of red fruits; sweet cherries, raisins, red plums. Almost like a fruit cake, there's yeast, malt, vanilla, marzipan, and cocoa following this; a fantastic complex nose. 25/25

Taste: The fruity notes continue with plums and strawberries, while the confectionary notes provide flavours of almond, caramel and cocoa. 19/25

Finish: Oaky tannins, distinct malty flavour with herbs and pepper. Some plums linger. 15/25

Style: This is just great! 21/25

Total: At time of review, the "official" Arran 18 was not available yet; this, hopefully, is a nice preview of what the real thing will bring. 80/100
