ABV: 55%

Casks: Port casks

Age statement:

Color: Dark ruby

Nose: Creosote and wood ashes cover the peat aroma, while there's a nice fruity aroma of licorice, strawberry and pine - and a hint of mild vanilla bisquit. 17/25

Taste: Strawberry jam, red plum and peach continue the fruity flavours, and the peaty flavour turns into something closer to burnt wood. A malty cake flavour, with peppery chalk is apparent after a little while. 17/25

Finish: Peaches and plums, oily peat and a bit of sulphur finishes off - and lingers for a long time. 19/25

Style: For a young whisky - I believe mine was bottled at 4-5 years - it's got a lot of complexity. 19/25

Total: A huge surprise. 72/100

Traditional score: 86/100
