ABV: 43%

Casks: Sherry cask

Age statement: 15 years

Color: Gold

Nose: Citrus, peach and mild oak immediately, followed by vanilla, coriander, white pepper, yellow apple, plum, and toffee. 17/25

Taste: Sweet, even if it's mainly citrus; some peach underlined with a slight bitterness. Notes of grass and caramel. 11/25

Finish: The bitterness lingers, and the flavour turns into something resembling a mild bourbon. Some nice hints of yellow plums, crème brûlée and raisins. 11/25

Style: The bitterness disappoints after the really nice nose. 15/25

Total: Personally I prefer the Glengoynes 10 and 18; this one is good, but a bit bitter and unbalanced. Improves markedly with a 30 minute rest in the glass. 54/100

Traditional score: 77/100
