ABV: 46%

Casks: Oloroso sherry casks

Age statement: 15 years

Color: Dark brown

Nose: OAK! Wrapped in dried fruits, and a hint of white pepper and cinnamon. 17/25

Taste: Bitter oak, almost a bit far gone into the wood; the fruit remains, with the hint of pepper. 11/25

Finish: There's no big surprise the oak lingers, with the expected tannins. It's still peppery, with a nice taste of raisins and demerara sugar. 11/25

Style: It feels like it's been on the casks for too long, but it's still good. 15/25

Total: At the time of bottling, there's no way the whisky could be 15 years old, as Glendronach was closed at the time (until 2001). Maybe this whisky will change in a few years, when it's a "true" 15 year old? Personally, I prefer the other bottlings from Glendronach over this, given the choice - but it's still a competent sherry cask matured whisky! Available at Vinmonopolet for 650 NOK or Systembolaget for 550 SEK 54/100
