ABV: 46%

Casks: Sherry casks

Age statement: 18 years old

Color: Golden

Nose: Sweet marshmallows, that typical Arran peach, plums, honey and a hint of lacquer start this out. Notes of citrus, pine needles, heather, walnuts and cinnamon. 22/25

Taste: Sugary and sweet, peach and plums. Well balanced malt and a touch of crème bruleé. The notes of citrus, pine and honey continue, seasoned with cocoa, vanilla and cardamum. 23/25

Finish: Honeyed malt, oak, nectarines, and yellow plum. Long and slightly spicy. 22/25

Style: Possibly the best 18 year old core range whisky? Very well balanced, no bitterness, just great! 23/25

Total: Perfection! It's hard to find any faults with this - the Old Malt Cask independent bottling is good, but this... 90/100

Traditional score: 95/100
